Moon That Swims - February 01, 2011

Moon That Swims

My eyes are closed but are burning still
Like the moon on your lake
Inviting desire to hear words of love
On the soft air you breathe
In the love we make

I drown my thoughts each night in dreams
While the moon beams bright
Beckoning to the cold, I feel inside
To swim within your lake
So warm and right

I think I have glimpsed love, in its purest form
Flowing in you, so endless and complete
My eyes are closed yet burning still
I am the moon that swims
On your lake

  1. Anything that you have written that includes the Moon I just love so much. I just closed my eyes and I swam in your lake with the moon shining above me. Your poem today is beautiful Neva. TY:))
