In Comes No Reply
You fade away into silent raindrops leaving emptiness inside me
The time you should never doubt, comes to remain
If any good should come near it would only be a sting
In places where I meet more than I know
You are kind, I will give you that
I can see where no reply comes creeping in, a knife wielding thief
You will recognize her by how tall she stands
Wishing your reality would not sleep within these places
Is not always the wisest way to know her lips
You best be singing a delicate song
One hand fails to fill the cracks of everything we've been through
While life performs for unbreakable hearts
You fade away leaving nothing but emptiness inside me
Now who will protect me when I think no reply
Is softly calling out my name
There are seasons still looking for truth to be what it calls itself
So go ahead and rearrange all your doubts
Keep wishing your reality will form into shapes that sting
I will take this emptiness from more than I know
Leave a kiss on no reply's sweet mouth
