My Solitary Ways - Jan. 30, 2011

My Solitary Ways

I thought you knew that I swim in unbound waters
Under starlit waves that hurry me along
So why are you here waiting
For me to scale those mountains
Where I don't belong?

Do my solitary ways softly whisper into your ears
As you watch me swim without restraint
Do they pierce your soul
Because I am not the same as you
Is this your complaint?

You say I would not miss one breath of this life I lead
That I may find those mountains surprising
Can you not observe by my smile
My life is pretty near perfect and shining
Without this climbing

I believe it best that you direct that look you are giving
To someone who feels out of place
Show them those mountains
You think I should be out there climbing
While I swim my race

My Stars Laugh - January 27, 2011

My Stars Laugh

My lullaby has gone to seek the hand that rocks the cradle
Regardless of his absence, I will sleep
Clever though he be
Rest will never run from me
As my lullaby, my song
Does not keep

I listen to celestial music, sweetly streaming from the stars
Lifting up in glory, there on high
See them breaking rank
In my twinkling eyes
Lulling me to peaceful sleep
From afar

Quite a fix could stand above my head in a reckless aftermath
If my lullaby were the keeper of my song
The one I hold here in my heart
Strolling down night's path
My lullaby seeks
I still sleep

While my stars laugh................

As He Can - January 26, 2011

As He Can

The soul that knows the air he breathes
Already loves himself
On wings of possibility he flies
Outside of his own pain
With belief

The way he feels, he gently expresses
With a peaceful hand
Keeping his fires burning low
And manner of speech
In command

Where he hangs his hat, he calls home
A place where he is pleased
He listens to his morning ringing in
With a joyful heart
Just to be

The soul that knows the air he breathes
Holds his heart in his hands
Touching the world with the peace
He feels inside himself
As he can

Painting Heaven - January 25, 2011

 Painting Heaven

I painted a picture of heaven with you as my sun
While humming with my eyes aglow
Smelled the fragrance of a rain
On a crimson satin rose
My heart, you won

In this heaven I painted myself as your moon
Side by side there we glowed in our sky
And your ears caught every note
I softly hummed and replied
With smiling eyes

I painted a million stars into my picture of heaven
Stunningly beautiful, flaming bits of light
To let them listen as I hummed
My song of love each night
To you my sun

My picture of heaven became a show of lights
As each star moved in closer to hear
The song of love I hummed
For only my sun’s ears
And his delight

I painted a picture of heaven and removed the stars
So I could once again see the face of my sun
Finding my heaven a better place
With the light that comes
From where you are

Tact - January 24, 2011

Tact

On your way to finding the secrets of life and all the lips
That have spoken into the setting sun
When reflection comes make sure you taste
With a mind that listens
To everyone

When you ride the ship where you feed your thirst
On wet roses, make sure you find
All the broken hearts that have been drowned
In tears where you left them
Low and unkind

When you find your own heart is breaking in two
And you weep within your own strife
Perhaps you will find the reflection you see
Is what you have gained
Feeding on life

On your way to finding the secrets of life and all the lips
That have spoken into the setting sun
When reflection comes make sure you take care
To treasure the hearts
Of everyone

Where the Willing Waits - Jan. 23, 2011

Where the Willing Waits

I carry the sun in a song to a land, where lovers can never forget
How to slip in between existence through unlocked doors
If you would listen to the murmur of this tale
You would leap first to hear the words
And ask for more

Take my hand and swiftly run through the sky of a hundred spells
Listen to my voice softly define the land and sea
Come and follow me in between existence
And we will slip into those doors
No need of keys

We will roam far away to where the willing waits to hear a song
Upon the paths where love resounds quite forgotten
If they will listen to the murmur of this tale
They can slip in between existence
With abandon

We will carry the sun in a song to a land, so lovers never forget
How to slip in between existence and reality
Enter into doors with no need of keys
Resounding words of love
From land and sea

Unwritten - January 20, 2011

Unwritten

Give me warmth in a close and quiet port with a song unwritten
So when the wind unveils her pride I will not know
I will dive headfirst into uncharted waters
Write the words to the song
With my harp of gold

Send me a reason to leave my warm and quiet port with you
So when the wind unveils her pride I will stay warm
We will dive headfirst into uncharted waters
With a new song unwritten
In both our arms

Promise me I will not long for the song unwritten I wrote alone
When I leave my warm and quiet port to write for you
Then I will dive headfirst into uncharted waters
Write the words to a new unwritten song
You can sing too

Our song will hold a thousand nights of memories of bliss
To keep us warm when the wind unveils her pride
We will sing each word together in harmony
While we dive headfirst into waters
With our warmth inside

Wind On My Wings - Jan. 19, 2011

Gronxador, JOSEP PINĂ“S I COMES (1867-1916)

Wind on My Wings

Once I wished to raise my gaze in fascination
At the thought of dreadful fear
Looked into the face of trying declarations
Bent backwards, ever groaning
With eyes, full of tears

One day I took note of all those birds in my skies
Freely flying high without a care
As I swiftly dried those tears from my eyes
My wings spread forth, taking flight
Along with dreadful fear

A new beginning I wished to rise up and see
Here flickering within my heart
I looked to the hand holding courage’s key
Stood up proud and true
Watching fear depart

Until I can see the bottom of the endless deep
I will not give way to failure
An easy life, I may not always bid to keep
But the daring wind on my wings
I will know in splendor

My Beginning - January 17, 2011

My Beginning

I broke the spell on my own, though its reach was far and wide
Even when you hid your face in your hands
I learned to sing louder
Until I had turned
The tide

I wondered if you ever thought of me or one kiss I gave to you
When you read all the words I wrote
Did they burn like pouring salt
Into an open wound
Of truth

I took a look at the coldest smile and found the warmest heart
Standing clear of the picture and its owner
Thought I broke the spell on my own
As I watched your fingers
Come apart

From a straight drop of a thousand feet, I found the spell's ending
Then tried to hide my heart in my own hands
But you only learned to sing louder
Until you had become
My beginning

The Story is Ours - Jan. 15, 2011

The Story is Ours

The sun will know where we first began
To explain there is no need
All we have been before is in our hands
But, when you come with me
You must lead

Many a story calls our hearts to fly like doves
From where our flowers bloom
Into skies of our beliefs we soar above
Unknown valleys of woven time
Spun upon life's loom

In flight together, we will find an open door
Where our needs are met the same
With no concern of what came heretofore
Yet, when you come with me
Know my name

Bright feathers from the changing years
Will lie within our home's flowers
What we have been will shed no tears
For when you come with me
The story's ours

Vanquishing the Darkness- Jan. 14, 2011

Vanquishing the Darkness

Scintillating shades of brilliance absorb into my pores
Opulently bathing me in a radiant light
Flowing through my senses, appealing to my soul
An incandescent energy
Of pure delight

Tranquil beads of silken dew form upon my skin
Expressing adoration for the light
Pleasing drops of exultation, tears of joy divine
Sending darkness into
The swiftest flight

A renewal of my spirit, eagerly blooming intensity
Persuasion of the sweetest kind
Is found in this release, the delightful peace I keep
Bathing in the brilliant
Light I find

An incandescent energy is flowing from my senses
Sending darkness fleeing from my soul
Tranquil beads of light are beaming from my spirit
Sweetly smiling, as darkness
Loses hold

I Have Come To Be - Jan. 13, 2011

I Have Come To Be

I am the only daughter of the heart of understanding
Once again, I have come to be a gleam
In the eyes of those who are too demanding
Beautifully, I scatter my virtues
Into their dreams

Behold the hearts, full of pain and disappointment
Who think their fate is writ in stone
Watch their eyes light up in amazement
When they suddenly find
They are not alone

I am the only son of the burning flames of passion
Once again, I have come to be a gleam
In the eyes of those who have lost appreciation
Beautifully, I scatter my virtues
Into their dreams

Behold the hearts, which have lost their determination
Who no longer dare to follow their dreams
Watch their eyes light up in complete fascination
When they find once again
Their self-esteem

Not My Time - January 12, 2011

Not My Time

The grass bowed in the quiet evening
While five hundred children
Stood by like lambs.
Awaking a symbol of love
With their smiles.

The sweetest sound broke forth
To cheer the stars above
While the children all lit candles
For every nation
I could hear a drum resound

Like flowers by a meadow stream
Such grace was revealed
When at last I could see their faces
There I fell to the ground
And began to dream

In my dream I followed the children
Into the coldest winds
Wondering if I would die, following love
Then soon the sweetest weight
Proved to be light

A burden was lifted from my fearful heart
With such gladness I was filled
When the cold winds led to a pathway
Where the souls gone before
Now quietly lived

I charged ahead of the children
To meet the ones I loved
But like flowers by a meadow stream
I was held in place
By the hands of precious time

I awoke crying on the grass that bowed
In the quiet evening
Where five hundred children once stood
Wiped a tear from my eye and smiled
As I lit my own candle of love

Power of Chance - January 11, 2011

Power of Chance

I cannot forget the light that falls from your loving glance
Or what a lovely miracle love can be
Such a sweet mystery lies within the power of chance
For those who choose not to forget
What they see

Do we walk among the stones of life in a forever quest
Seeking the fragrance of a perfect rose
Blaming fate or chance, refusing to be blessed
By the perfume of the glance
Under our nose

Are we frightened by the fire we meet on our path
Wave away the smoke in distress
Forget the loving glance because of the wrath
Thinking what is not perfect
Cannot be blessed

I will not forget the light that falls from your loving glance
Or the lovely miracle our love holds
Such a sweet mystery lies within taking a chance
For those who choose to face the fire
Not run or fold

Centering - January 10, 2011

Centering

I am filled with burning flames of the rising sun
Your ocean bed is where I anchor
I radiate my warmth into your waters as one
Seeking a calming balance
And my center

In the evening fog you hold me ever gently
Safely beneath those clouded skies
As my warmth radiates into you freely
I am lulled to peaceful sleep
With you nearby

I would be a burning ship with a wanderer's mast
Here sailing lost in my own ocean
If not for your bed of anchoring calm and rest
Where I can radiate my warmth
From the rising sun

When it is time for my ship to sail off once again
I will take hold of my anchor
Sail away into the rising sun, chasing winds
But know you this, to you I shall return
To again, find my center

Breathe Upon These Miles - Jan. 09, 2011

Breathe Upon These Miles

Softly breathe upon these miles between you and I
Where they will not continue to seem so far
Let them fall by the wayside
So that I am able to look into your eyes
No matter where we are

I cannot help but wish to be cradled in your hours
To be ever listening to your heartbeat
A sound quieting my own
Filling my world with precious showers
'Tis when I feel complete

Until the moment comes when you softly breathe
Upon these miles between you and me
Here I will be, by the wayside
Until your breath shows the way that leads
To erase all these miles I see

Softly breathe upon these miles between you and I
Until they no longer continue to exist
Let them fall by the wayside
So that I am able to look into your eyes
And be cradled in your kiss

Without Answers - Jan. 08, 2011

Without Answers

If you can tell me why the sea roars when staring at the moon
I will drink the essence of your different ways
Together we will find where the dish took the spoon
Live with fire in our eyes
All our days

If you can launch a ship that glides into wisdom's harbor
I will sail along with you until the end of time
Together we will learn the secret of love's nature
Live a life full of passion
So sublime

However, if you cannot tell me why the sea roars at the moon
Or launch a ship that will glide into wisdom's harbor
Together our hearts can still learn how to sing in tune
In our own perfect harmony
Without answers

Dry Your Tears - January 07, 2011

Dry Your Tears

When your fingers dare to take the wilderness from this land
A breeze will play in your thoughts
For a hundred years
All the flower's hearts will ache to stand
And watch the leaves
Dry my tears

Apart from the cobwebs spun in my name forevermore
You may perhaps believe I roamed
In and out of sorrow
Yet if I could make you see heretofore
You would know I only cried
The tears I borrowed

When your fingers dare to take the wilderness from this land
I will spin cobwebs in your name
For a hundred years
Your heart will always ache to stand
So you can find the leaves
To dry your tears

Beneath a Naked Flame - Jan. 06, 2011

Dante Gabriel Rossetti
Astarte Syriaca (1877);
Manchester Ciry Art
Gallery, UK

Beneath a Naked Flame

Beneath a naked flame, there lies all the hidden resolution
I heard him softly sing to you my friend
You bowed your head in a silken thread of absolution
While spilling forgetful darkness
From your hands

Are your eyes dim because your dreams are distant
To you I could hear him softly sing
You bowed your head to escape from existence
Then you closed your burning eyes
On everything

Above your line of sight a patient angel is there waiting
He sang to you, although you did not hear
If you will unbow your head, stand still anticipating
Open up your burning eyes
All will be clear

Beneath a naked flame, there lies your own contentment
I know because I felt the burn in his song
But if your silken thread holds onto your resentment
Your eyes will burn in darkness
Your lifelong

Heart of Being - January 05, 2011

Heart of Being

A look was cast, so you and I could drink existence
From an overflowing cup of starry nights
Faintly quickening the pulse of our essence
Telling new beginnings
To take flight

They say nothingness and being, know not why they are
Yet they share in existence just the same
Does this mean one is full of wisdom, taking him so far
When asked, he cannot
Recall his name

Entwined in our existence are strong yearnings just to be
Determining where our gaze strays within
Making it possible to be, more than we ourselves can see
If we drink from this cup
Once again

A look was cast, so you and I could find the heart of being
We held on to in nothingness the same
Will you drink from this overflowing cup I am seeing
Gaze within and still recall
My name?

Face to Face - January 04, 2011

Face to Face

When you come face to face with your own mind
Is all you find, growing wild within
Are your eyes seeking to find
The Golden Fleece
Once again

Are you suddenly fleeing where clouds have gathered
With a burning candle raised on high
Wondering if you have mastered
This profound race of life
Not a tear, you cry

Do you continue walking within opposing views
Saving certain parts of all you find
Thinking surely it's up to you
To tame the wildness
In your mind

When you come face to face with your own mind
Can you gaze upon the wildness and smile
Not give a care if the fleece you find
Yet enjoy the journey
All the while
